Sunday Stampers Week 10 challenge

I have been wanting to use my new set of stamps from Paper Artsy so, thought this would be a good excuse to use them for the Sunday Stamper's challenge. I had to be sooooooo restrained though, as I wanted to use some really vibrant colours (reds, oranges and yellows) but, as the theme is green, stuck to the rules. Used 6 different inkpads and mounted the main image on some green mirri card. Added some green gems and the job was finished. Quite a simple card so just might 'touch it up' with more colours now!! Unfortunately, it doesn't show up too well on my blog (it looks better in real life!!).

Sunday Stampers Week 9 challenge

As you will see, I am still into my acetate stamping! This week the Sunday Stampers was party hats and I thought this lovely image would look good for a garden party. It was stamped on acetate with a stazon black ink pad and glittered on the reverse. I then mounted the image onto a piece of card with brads and then finished off with some gold mount - job done!!

Sunday Stampers Week 8 challenge

This is my entry for the Sunday Stampers this week which is Laydeee.
I used one of my favourite mediums, acetate and stamped with black stazon the beautiful image of this lady. On the reverse I used glitter in various colours (this takes an awful long time to dry)!! Mounted the acetate image on some white card and used red heart brads to attach it all to some embossed black card stock. Have to say I am really pleased with this weeks challenge. Hope you all like it!!

Sunday Stampers Week 7 challenge

Yes, I know, yet another tag!! but I have been feeling rather poorly today so decided a tag would be quicker. Covered tag with some really nice Thai paper, which unfortunately, cannot be seen very well now. Stamped an oriental image with black stazon on some white shiny paper and mounted on gold mirri card. On the reverse I mounted the same image onto red card and then some black card. Finished off by using Versamark pad and heat embossed gold around the edges of both sides.

Paperdolls challenge

The challenge for March/April was to make either an atc or tag book. As I am 'off' atc's decided to make a tag folder. Used Adironak lavender and blue inks, smudged with a baby wipe, spritzed blue tattered angels. Decided then to add gold tattered angels but, this time, brayered the gold on which, I think, gives a much better effect and is more even and you don't get the 'blotched' look. Stamped 4 sides with Versamark pad and heat embossed images in black and on the reverse stamped the same images with black Stazon pad. Added some ribbons, gems and coloured peel-off borders and finished off with some pretty ribbons. The book I added some blue and lavender flowers and gems and finished the edges with silver stars.

March Tag Swap

I joined in the March Tag Swap on Craft Swap Forum this month. It's theme is birds and flowers so I decided to use my Tim Holtz stamps, as they are amongst my favourite ones. Used Adirondak inkpads, in various colours, smudged onto card with babywipes. Stamped and embossed images in black, red and brown and finished off with some fabric flowers, gems and little butterflies. Added some ribbons and the job was done!!

Sunday Stampers Week 6 challenge

I have cheated, most terribly, this week. This card was made, by me, for my daughter on the occasion of her grandfather's 90th birthday last year. It brings back so many happy memories, not only of his 90th Birthday party, but the following Monday morning, when we sat for many an hour, opening all the wonderful cards all his 'friends' on Craft Swap Forum had sent him. I thought it would be nice to have a permanent record, on my blog, of my father's memory so I hope none of you mind. The card was made from Joanna Sheen's De Vinci papers and one of her old photographs. The sentiments I thought were very appropriate for my father as, his passion in life (apart from his family) was food!!

Easter Cards

Easter Cards

Decided, yesterday, that as Easter is almost upon us, I should make a start on my Easter cards. Pinched these ideas from a craft magazine but not sure they are really my style. However, the little rabbit was in a pack of 10 dye-cuts and the papers were also free. Think I will go back to my usual style though for the rest!
